Passionate love can be selfish love. It is that which eminates from the mind influenced heart. It is real but it is not the most fundamental love. It can easilly be ruled by the ego, by the psyche of the self, the outer shell of the inner being. It is only when we strip back the outer layers of this inner being of psyce, that we may learn to see the source of this love. We may learn that at its core is a much greater love, not the love eminating from the mind controlled heart, but love eminating from the God connected soul. Passionate Love carries conditions, but if we remove all of these expectations, needs, wants, etc, so that what we are left with is unconditional, there we will find the true source of that love, and its real value. Passionate love does not always translate to compassionate love, and where it doesnt it is most likely worthless and an ego controlled beast! Compassionate love is that which is most fundamental to us. It eminates from the inner core of our being, not from the mind influenced heart, but from the spirit powered soul. This is true love, always and eternal. Most of us receive and give this gift every day without realising it. This is the love which comes to us direct from the heart of God. This love in its true state is never selfish and never swayed by the ego. There is no love greater than this, The Love Of God. It is all enfolding, all encompassing, all entrenching, all engrossing, all empowering, ever enduring, everlastingly abundant, eternally existent, and a permanent internal fixture within our hearts. It is our gift from God.
