Pastor Jose Gabriel Cabral invites you to ISRAEL February 15-23/2015 Day 1 Sunday, 15 Feb: Departure from USA – Overnight flight including dinner, breakfast and in-flight entertainment. Day 2 Monday, 16 Feb: Tel Aviv – Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. We are met, assisted and escorted to our hotel by Aviatours. Day 3 Tuesday 17 Feb: Caesarea/Mt Carmel/Megiddo/Nazareth/Cana – After breakfast drive to Caesarea (Acts 10:1), the port-city built by King Herod. Apostle Paul was put in prison here until he was expelled to Rome. Continue for a panoramic view over the bay of Haifa from Mt. Carmel, where the prophet Elijah challenged the 400 false prophets of Baal. Continue to Megiddo the Biblical city overlooking the Valley of Armageddon (Revelation 16:16), and then to Nazareth (Matt 2:23) for a panoramic view over the city where Jesus lived as a boy. Nearby is Cana (John 21:2) where the first miracle of Jesus took place. We reach the Sea of Galilee for dinner & overnight. Day 4 Wednesday 18 Feb: Capernaum/Tabgha/Mt. of Beatitudes/Magdala Jordan River – After breakfast, we descend to take a boat to cruse the Sea of Galilee and in Capernaum (Luke 4:31) to visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the Byzantine chapel at the site of Peters House. We then continue to Tabgha (Matt 14:17, 19), the site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish, Mount of Beatitudes (Matt 5-7) and Magdala – home of Mary Magdalene. We continue to the Baptism site at the Jordan River, where those who wish, may renew their Baptism in this unique place. Proceed to our hotel at the Dead Sea. Day 5 Thursday 19 Feb: Qumran/Dead Sea/Masada/Jericho/Jerusalem. – Enjoy a dip in the Dead Sea – rich with minerals, God’s gift to your skin. Continue to Masada, the palace-fort built by King Herod. Here, in 73 A.D., 960 Jewish zealots committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. The plateau is reached via a cable car ride with a spectacular view of the plains surrounding it. Visit Qumran – the site of the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Dinner and over night in our hotel in Jerusalem. Day 6 Friday 20 Feb: Jerusalem- The Old City. – Our first stop will be the Mount of Olives (Mark 13:3) with a panoramic view of both the old and new Jerusalem. We follow the path down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt 26:36) and the nearby Church of All Nations. We then take a short drive through the Kidron Valley to reach Absalom and Zachariahs Tomb. Continue to Mount Zion (King Davids tomb) and the Upper Room (John 13:1), site of the Last Supper. Nearby is the house of Caiaphas where Jesus was captured. We will then continue to The Israel Museum, house of the Shrine of the Book where the original Dead Sea scrolls are exhibited and displays the model of Jerusalem from the time of Jesus. We reach our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 7 Saturday 21 Feb: Garden Tomb/Davidson Center. – We start the day by visiting Davidson Center where we see a special presentation of life on Temple Mount at the time of Jesus. Visit the Wailing Wall (the Western Wall) - the last remains of the Temple built by King Herod and the tunnel that gets you as close as possible to the holy of holy. We walk several stations of the Way of the Cross until we reach the Bible Institute depicting articles of the temple. We then dedicate time for a visit, pray and meditation at the Garden Tomb at Golgotha. Visit the tomb from where HE resurrected (John 19:40-41. Next we then travel to the little town of Bethlehem (Matt 2:1) and it’s Church of the Nativity and Milk Grotto. Dinner and over night in Jerusalem. Day 8 Sunday 22 Feb: Jerusalem. David and Goliath, Emmaus and Israeli Tanks – After breakfast we visit the Yad Va Shem Museum (the Holocaust Museum). Then we head to the Ella Valley where David fought Goliath. Proceed to Emaus where Jesus appeared after his resurrection (Luke 24:13-35). Nearby is the IDF armored corp. museum where you can climb on Israeli made tanks and feel part of the army of God. Our day ends with dinner and overnight in our hotel in Jerusalem. Day 9 Monday 23 Feb: Flight back home. Arrival in the U.S.A. on the same day. Welcome back from a lifetime experience.
