Pastor Mikes Daily Devotion Monday August 25, 2014 1 Corinthians 16:5, Now I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia (for I am passing through Macedonia). It has been said that if you want to make God laugh just tell Him about your plans. I had planned to live my life in Orange County but for the past 28 years I have lived in Ontario. I had planned to be a successful Electrical Contractor but as of now I am a Pastor. I thought that my wife and I would have two children, a boy and a girl, but today we have four, with two of them being twins. In Acts 16:6-10 the Apostle Paul had planned to go to Asia to minister the gospel but God sent him to Greece. There is a law of physics that says that objects at rest tend to stay at rest and objects in motion tend to stay in motion. Paul was a man who was always in motion; he was continuously making plans for the future. He understood that if he became stagnant the ministry would soon wither and die. Gods minister should always be thinking what is next?; never resting in what has been accomplished but looking forward to what God wants to do. We can limit how God wants to use us when we stop dreaming of the future, because with no dreams there is no planning, and when we fail to plan, we plan for failure. Grasp onto what God has placed in your heart, dream big, and plan for the future; you will be surprised what He will do. Psalm 71:5, For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.
