Pastor Phils insight from todays reading: John 20:16 Mary Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, Rabboni! (which is Hebrew for Teacher). Up to this moment Mary was in a fog...and a funk. She thought Jesus was dead. And now, as she goes to the grave, it looks like some grave robbers have stolen the body. On top of this, theres this guy--she thinks its a gardener--whos asking her why shes crying!! Where has he been? Hasnt he heard what just happened? And then something happens. This clueless gardener says her name: Mary. He spoke her name and the way he did it triggered something in her brain. The light bulb went on, and through her tears she saw not a gardener but a living, resurrected Jesus. Heres the truth for us: He knows our name too. And if we pause...and really listen...well hear him say our name with such compassion and such love, that our hope will be restored. Listen.... #CRDigDeep
