In Geneva, on the sidelines of the 23rd session of United Nations Human Rights Council, the members of Kashmiri delegation held a demonstration outside the United Nations Office against the continued atrocities and gross human rights violations committed by Indian armed forces in occupied Kashmir. The protest demonstration was joined by people hailing from different walks of life. The protesters were holding placards demanding an end to human rights abuses, torture, extra judicial killings, enforced disappearance and molestations in the occupied territory. The International Council for Human Rights—Kashmir Project and International Human Rights Association for American Minorities in a joint statement submitted to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva urged the Council to investigate the war crimes perpetrated by the Indian troops in the territory.
