Pathfinders Hidden Tucson Trip 1 Thursday, February 19, 2015 Pathfinders is organizing a series of trips to discover hidden tucson! We will meet at the Arizona History Museum, 949 East Second Street at 8:30am to register and load our deluxe coach. We first tour the newly renovated Old Main on the campus of the U of A. We will view the beautiful museum they have set up next to President Hart’s office and hear Old Main’s history. From there our coach will take us to the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center on the Chinese New Year. There will be special activities, we will have a speaker and view a video about Zheng He, Admiral of a fleet of leviathan ships. We will have lunch at this location. A guided tour through the Franklin Auto Museum follows. Our day will conclude at a true gem, the amazing Tin Town which is only open to small groups, not to the general public. A Chinese grocery store at the turn of the twentieth century, it is now a museum of Tucson and Southwestern memorabilia. After a tour its current owners will tell us the remarkable history of this location, where we will then enjoy a catered dinner before our return to AHS around 6:00pm. The cost of $139 per person includes lunch and dinner, travel in a deluxe coach and all entry fees and gratuities. Free parking is one block west of the museum in the Arizona Historical Society garage at the northeast corner of East Second Street and North Euclid Ave. Use the East Second Street entrance. Arizona Pathfinders, Inc. is an organization of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Arizona Historical Society, Southern Division.
