Patient Care Coordinator Seeking an outgoing, organized, energetic, full-time Patient Care Coordinator for our growing Orthopedic practice in Austin, Texas, who is a team player and willing and able to grow with our practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Take patient calls, chart patient questions, present to our doctors and then call the patient back with the doctors answer. Call in medications via phone and electronically via EMR. Schedule MRIs/CT/Bone Scans etc. and Preauthorize MRIs/CT/Bone Scans etc. Write up orders for physicians coming out of patient rooms (Write up Physical Therapy, DME, outside referrals etc). Back up clinic by rooming patients, interview patients and type their symptoms and medical history and vitals into EMR. Apply and remove casts, splints and braces (will train). Remove sutures and staples, dressing changes, set up for injections, clean and stock patient rooms. Back up phones. Other duties as assigned. Compensation commensurate with experience.
