Patna food diaries Tried some awsum Bihari food over the weekend in Patna. Most of it was home made. Some Flavors that really stood out was sarson(mustard)bhindi (okra) with white rice and tomatoe chutney with mustard( Indian salsa). Tried some thing called sattu (freshly ground chick pea powder) - parathas and kachoris stuffed with it. Litti- very similar to baati but stuffed with sattu, served will daal,baigan bharta and alu chokha( boiled n mashed potatoe with finely chopped onion,garlic, coriander, chilli and lemon) All accompaniments were sauces and chutneys, quite spicy with lot of flavor of garlic and mustard. All in all a wonderful gastronomic experience.
