James 1:5 Are you facing a difficult decision, a troubling circumstance, or a powerful temptation? If so, its time to step back, to stop focusing on the world, and to focus, instead, on the will of your Father in heaven. The world will often lead you astray, but God will not. His counsel leads you to Himself, which, of course, is the path He has always intended for you to take. Everyday living is an exercise in decision-making. Today and every day you must make choices: choices about what you will do, what you will worship, and how you will think. When in doubt, make choices that you sincerely believe will bring you to a closer relationship with God. And if youre uncertain of your next step, pray about it. When you do, answers will come. And you may rest assured that when God answers prayer, His are the right ones for you. A DAILY PSALM How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. Psalm 128:1 FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT DAY 266 And dont get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled with the spirit. Ephesians 5:18 When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, your words and deeds will reflect a love and devotion to Christ. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, the steps of your lifes journey are guided by the Lord. When you allow Gods Spirit to work in you and through you, you will be energized and transformed. Today, allow yourself to be filled with the Spirit of God. And then stand back in amazement as God begins to work miracles in your own life and in the lives of those you love. Whether we preach, pray, write, do business, travel, take care of children, or administer the government-whatever we do-our whole life and influence should be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. A DAILY PROVERB Discretion is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it, but discipline is wasted on fools.
