Patty- our sweet baby in congestive heart failure went to the - TopicsExpress

Patty- our sweet baby in congestive heart failure went to the University of Pennsylvania yesterday for a heart work up and to see what can be done to help her bad valve here is what we received- Thank you so much for bringing Patty in to see us today. She is such a sweetheart and we loved meeting her. Ive attached her discharge paperwork but am still waiting to hear back from our surgeon regarding his thoughts. Ill let you know as soon as he gets in touch with us. If there isnt anyone who is willing to do the valve repair surgery for the tricuspid valve, we can still perform the balloon valvuloplasty. I think it could improve the pulmonic stenosis. However, the concurrent leak across the tricuspid valve is very severe and we are unlikely to be able to resolve the congestive heart failure. That would mean she may still need belly taps periodically in the future. Our goal would be to make those significantly less frequent, since I think the twice weekly taps she currently requires are far too frequent to maintain a good quality of life for her. I know theres a lot to consider regarding her ability to be a good adoption candidate as well as her long term prognosis for a good quality of life, so please read over everything and let me know if you have any questions. When I hear back from our surgeon I will be in touch. *** we have been doing everything we can for this beautiful 2 year old sweetheart. Patty-Cakes is loved by all- her foster mom is amazing. Patty went to Petco after her day at the hospital and picked out some great toys. We love Patty so much. The doctors at UPENN are amazing- she is in the best hands and we pray Patty-Cakes is a candidate for surgery A huge thank you to Lindsey- of https://facebook/groups/294774543947873/ - Shelly had a similar case but not as severe. Lindsey has helped as a support system and guided us to UPENN Please keep Patty-Cakes in your thoughts and prayers- to make a donation to her growing medical care - go to nycsecondchancerescue.org/donate/ Love you Patty-Cakes, we will do all we can to help you!! Thank you to her angel M, for standing behind us through this difficult journey.
