Paul is careful to keep the attention of his boast on Our Lord Jesus Christ, his own intrest in His boast was to exalt the Lord. If he was going to boast about himself it would be in his weakness. Of such an one will I glory; yet of myself I will not glory, but in my infirmities ( 2 Cor 12: 5 ). His weakness was really His strength because it made him depend on the power Christ ( 2 Cor 12: 7-10 ). You can link this weakness ( little strength ) to the Faithful church Smyrna and Philadelpia in Rev 3: 8. It is a suffering and weak church. Their weakness was really their strength.
