Pauline, I have what you consider banana legs. What do I do to improve the shape of my legs? Answer: emphasize the hamstrings and glutes more. Most people are quad dominant and no matter what you do these muscles will be the most stimulated to grow and the rest will not. Theres a way around it though: routines which do NOT cater to what the quads want to do. It means working out doing the old school stuff but in modified ways so the emphasis is put on the areas you want. A good example is do not do regular shoulder width stance front bb squats first in your routine if youre banana legged! :-) fighterdiet/fd-fighter-diet-deadlifts
