Peace, As a Public Figure I use my platform to speak to issues, often saying what others wont. ESPN actually never had my respect, so they couldnt lose it. Their action and suspension of Stephen A Smith is NOT shocking or unexpected. Again, this is why studying ones history is critical to having an Understanding of life and reality. I just sat and watched Mike Vick who is my favorite player and he is an example of the power of the media. Mike tiptoes around every topic always striving to be politically correct. He was picked up by the Jets with an opportunity to win the starting job, when healthy he still is one of the best in the league at his position. He can still off the wrong foot throw a ball 70-80 yards, and at any given time pull it down and run for 80. Yet, the media routinely REMINDS us of his charge and history. He paid his debt, a costly one at that, and he is still destroyed by the media every chance they get. The media snatched something out of Mike Vick, I wonder what it is. Now how pathetic and weak they suspend Stephen A Smith almost a week after his comments. What was the holdup for? If what he said was so egregious why not suspend him last week when he said it? This is so much deeper than Stephen A Smith, but he is the target here. DAILY he is a bold, intelligent, well dressed Blackman who challenges all and is educated and properly prepared to do so. He is SEEN by millions everyday and he has an opportunity to inspire others to aspire. Always know this when it comes to the media, they are controlled by EDITORS. To edit means to take out and the pathetic actions of ESPN took Stephen A Smith out for a week. What message is sent when the man who discussed the incident is suspended longer than the man who did the incident. What message is being sent when historically the rules and punishment hinges on WHO is involved? The message is the same as its always been....all the way back from when they killed Martin, Malcolm and Medgar who used the media to fight for right. There has and will continue to be a plot to kill the last M....the variable that was taken from Mike Vick.....Our Dominant Manhood. Peace!
