However, when Jesus perceived that they intended to make him king by force, withdrew again to the mountain alone (John 6: 14-15). People wanted by his own forces, transforming into King Jesus. Saw the Messiah as a political liberator (then subjugated Jews lived under Roman rule). They did not understand that, first of all, Jesus came to reign as King of kings. But to establish His Kingdom, He would first have to suffer and die for the sins of mankind. Nowadays many people act this same way with God. Expect the Lord to submit their own ideas about Him. Expect God to conform to their own plans. They decide, and he - allegedly - must cooperate. But does not work well. The Lord will not submit and conform with their own plans. You are the one to conform and submit to his plans. The only thing we can change ourselves against spiritual weakness is our own heart. And that can only happen through prayer and the proclamation of Gods word. Jesus Christ is not a means to an end. It is the end. He is the all in all. He is the Alpha and the Omega. QUOTE OF THE DAY: People never improve until look to some standard or example higher and better than themselves. Tryon Edwards FREE SPACE: BIBLE READING Psalm 10.1-18 GOD IS FAIR! Nothing in all creation is hidden from Gods sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Heb 4:13). When we look at our so unfair and corrupt context, we see that the psalm we read today is extremely current. Most people live as if God did not exist and no one had to account for their acts. Think that impunity can be applied to our relationship with God. After all, he has tolerated petty attitudes, abuse, violence ... does not seem to defend or at least their children, while allowing evil to flourish ... However, God is not far from suffering. He knows all the situations, the innermost feelings of people and their motivations. This should not scare us, but its any consolation. Remember that God is righteous is our only hope when we are unjustly suffering. When nothing and no one is righteous, God is! Jesus said those who hunger and thirst for righteousness ... shall be satisfied (Mt 5.6). God will act! But for those who love justice, its hard not to see here the punishment of one who humiliates and mistreats another person does fall into traps. It takes trust in divine justice, even if it is applied only when our enemies are before God in the final judgment. The Lord will punish the wicked and honor those who have been faithful to him - this is what the console! It is not the question why God does not now punishes those who insult, nor is our urge him to act (as if we could give orders to God!) Task. No matter how heavy is our suffering, faith in God means trusting your control over every situation and wait for his act. Yes, we can give thanks to God because he knows everything that happens to us, what is being concocted against us and also our real intentions. It is based on this full and perfect knowledge that he judges us! Gods justice is perfect - worth the wait for it! SPECIAL MESSAGE: Affective grace; (Leticia Thompson) Lack of affection is a disease that affects all ages, cultures and social classes. Its worse than the flu that comes and goes, or a disease that kills once. It is an evil that consumes people slowly. The indifference of society to face current problems of the world, causes people to feel lonely and needy. We prefer to close their eyes to what is happening around us (and even outside!) Than face the reality of others lives, their problems. There are increasingly more lonely people as the population grows. People are thirsty for love. The problem is that rarely want to be a source. And there are a lot of gear in this unhappy people. So it runs from one side to the other, trying to find some compensation to professional level, in other religions, beliefs and sects. The internet is also part of this world. Closes here looking loves, friendships and certainty that something exists even able to compensate for the lack of affection. And theyre wrong. He deceives others and yourself. When Jesus walked the earth, I sure do not need anything. He was self-sufficient. It may not work immediately. It is a drug that needs some time to start working. But when you are healed inside, will be somebody else, such that it is impossible not to get back the happiness that spread. We have a habit of wanting to buy everything. But many things in life we need to plant, nurture and harvest with our own hands. Not everything is bought and sold and affection is one of those rare things. Not love God because He first loved us? So we live so that we can be the first to give affection, love, attention. We are the antidotes of hatred and indifference. All that will come after, will be compensation. We will thereby contributing to a more just and more balanced human society.
