The General Assembly of the United Nations has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. Today, YOU can help kids create real and lasting peace by joining USAID in supporting Kids Creating Peace (KCP), the cross-border Palestinian/Israeli program designed to bring peace to the Middle East at the seed level: its youth. Click here for more information and to donate: https://indiegogo/projects/support-kids-creating-peace-in-israel-palestine What is Kids Creating Peace Kids Creating Peace is a non-profit organization and a recognized NGO of the United Nations that seeks to transform the Middle East from a war zone to a zone of peace by providing Palestinian and Israeli teens with the chance to know, understand, and trust each other. The KCP program consists of a one-year dialogue program that includes interactive workshops and overnight summer camps where teens aged 13–17 learn tools to effectively transform pain, fear, and suffering into tolerance, human dignity, acceptance, and peace, and, more importantly, learn how to incorporate this learning into their lives. At the heart of Kids Creating Peace is the concept that the whole world is affected by how we act in our own personal space, and that the more of us that change ourselves, the more we can change the world. Since KCP’s inception in 2006, more than 10,000 youth have completed its program. Thats 10,000 teens who have broken the cycle of mistrust and fear, and have joined the movement of young leaders promoting human dignity and peace. Ten thousand children is just a start, but with your help, we can reach many more. With your support, we can add 150 students to a one-year program, where we and they can make a real difference. The cost of every student is $2,310 per year. Moreover, USAID will match $6 for every dollar raised on Indiegogo. This means that every $330 that we collect will enable us to add a new student.
