Pedestrian struck, killed on San Jose freeway By Mark Gomez mgomez@mercurynews POSTED: 11/08/2013 05:42:16 AM PST UPDATED: 11/08/2013 05:42:17 AM PST A pedestrian was struck and killed early Friday morning on the connector ramp of northbound Interstate 280 to southbound Highway 87 in San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision was reported just before 5 a.m. The CHP did not immediately release the gender or age of the pedestrian. As of 5:35 a.m., the far right lane of northbound 280 and the connector ramp to 87 are closed. The lanes are expected to reopen at about 6:30 a.m. Check back for more information on this story.
