Peeling back the blinders, Americans should at least recognize the process they’re participating in, and the moral implications it has on society. Often times it is called upon the individual as a civic duty or obligation as a citizen to vote in elections without question of the act itself. Often times it is said that those who participate in democratic process are the only individuals allowed to debate, cheer or complain about state action. More times than not the argument for statehood comes at a loss of understanding for a stateless and free society. Instead of acquiring middlemen with coercive powers and auctions on stolen goods known as the state and its bidding, the individual and the society made up of individuals should look for the moral highway, and not highway robbery.
