Peeps, when I bought my late 2012 Macbook Pro, Bought a load of waves plugs, put pt10 and later 11 on it not to mention a load of other software brands for my music, here I was with a brand new hot off the press comp with all paid and licensed products, brand new interface Frite saff 56 but my comp was running like and old old computer, it was glitchy and Protools crashed a lot, or it was a little unstable. The first I suspected it was Waves 9.2 was when I had an issue with one waves plug that came in gold, would not work higher than 44.1khz if that solves anyone elses unsolved drama, anyway back on point, so I uninstalled the whole gold bundle and left it for a minute whilst various Techis got back to me with possible reasons why my brand new comp was running lame, anyway, problem solved, everything working like a dream, PT no probs, comp no probs, addressed the issue, reinstalled my gold and off I went, instantly same issues started occurring to my absolute devastation but I just soldiered on but feeling not very in love with my system, all this new gear and I didnt want to use it, however, just recently I updated to waves 9.3 and so far my computer is running so much better, not glitchy, PT start up is quicker, playback and functionality seems so much smoother. Can anyone else relate to my story? Btw i started with Mountain Lion, can someone remind me what came after that??? On mavericks now dont really fancy Yose as Im really only using this comp for my recordings, want it clean, cheers guys.
