Penalties, Rafael was caught off guard by Suarez, he panicked. Jones was too slow to react, he made an unfair challenge. Where do the tactics come in ? We were not outplayed. There were literally no special Suarez & Sturridge moments, no amazing linkup play or Liverpool making chance after chance, like theyve been doing all season. As far as I saw it, we were playing smart.. Fellaini had Sterling under control. Flanagan was booked & Rafael looked like he was going to have a field day against him. Jones & Vida were wiping the floor with Suarez & Sturridge. Hard tackles & winning headers. We were just not bold enough to take the initiative, and their quality eventually broke through our mediocrity in defence.
