PennDOT Repairs Route 124 in Spring Garden Twp., York County Harrisburg – PennDOT York County maintenance crews today began work to repair a section of Route 124, Mount Rose Avenue east of the City of York between Albermarle Street and I-83 in Spring Garden Township. PennDOT advises travelers that they may encounter a single-lane alternating traffic pattern Sept. 3-4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. as highway crews conduct roadway base repair in preparation for resurfacing in 2014. Motorists are advised to be alert for this operation, to obey work zone signs, and to slow down when approaching and traveling through work zones, not only for their safety, but for the safety of the road crews. York County maintenance crews on Sept. 5-6 will move the operation to a section of Camp Betty Washington Road between Route 124 and Chambers Road in York Township.
