Pennies from ?...I have been finding pennies on my basement floor for decades. They have always been American pennies of different years and always in plain view near the N/W corner. OK, they fell out of something in the laundry, right? More than once I have swept, even vacuumed the floor to return with nobody else home to find a penny. NOW, I think someone is trying to tell me something. Last week this 1874 British Penny with Queen Victoria joined the collection. Nobody in the house knows anything about it and it could never be mistaken (like the Canadian coins) and passed on as change without noticing it. My house was built in 1950. Nothing existed on this land B4; no Indian Villages or graves, it was a farm and was in the same familys control from the time the land was given to a Rev. War soldier for his service until WWII. I remember a house on Palisade Ave. in Jersey City that had coins and buttons appearing. A Jersey Journal article stated that, while the reporter was there, a button fell to the kitchen floor in front of her.
