Penny & Ginger. These are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. All they want to do is love and be loved in return. They were surrendered by their 90-year-old owner to Franklin County Animal Shelter who could no longer care for her dogs. They are around 2 years old. Penny is ~60lbs and Ginger is ~65lbs. They are living in a foster home that has 3 very active cats and 1 female dog. So far they get along with the cats really well and absolutely love to play with their foster sister (Kali!! :)). These gals are so wonderful and sweet. They are great on leashes and love to play fetch. Ginger is much better at fetch than her sister, but Penny sure loves to run along the side when the ball is thrown. They are learning basic commands and are crate training. Both girls are spayed, microchipped, UTD on shots, and on flea prevention and heartworm prevention, and ready to go to their forever home. Though large these ladies would make wonderful therapy dogs too! Penny and Ginger are wonderful ladies and quite a pair! Since they are such a bonded pair, if adopted together there will be one fee of $200. However we will adopt them out separately if that is preferable to an approved adopter. If you are interested in learning more about Penny & Ginger, please email FCHSdogteam27596@gmail. You can fill out an application for adoption at fchsnc.org.
