MAK TEMPORARY WORKERS LOSE CONTRACT FOR STRIKE Temporary employees at MAK have lost their jobs after the senate management cancelled their contract. this comes after their laying down of tools yesterday at senate and work was at stand still. The cause of the demonstration has not been fully revealed but according to the source who preferred anonymity, the workers were mistreated and denied some privileges. others say they were working under poor conditions and limited pay. This temporary staff was employed during the application of the students for 2013/14 intake due 17th August. they were now entering the data in the senate system for scrutiny. This comes shortly after the applications were closed on 21st June. wish them well
