Penryn Arts Festival 2015 22nd – 25th May CALL FOR PROPOSALS The Penryn Arts Festival committee is looking to fund and promote a variety of small innovative and inspiring projects covering diverse areas of creative practice; visual art, music, drama, film, animation, written and spoken word as well as performance, workshops, exhibitions etc. to be presented in indoor spaces or outdoor locations within the town and surrounding areas. The committee is seeking proposals from arts event providers and practitioners in all stages in their career. The projects must be socially engaged and community focused and in response to the people and/or places within Penryn Town and the surrounding area. The successful applicants will organise and deliver their projects, with the support of the committee, in a range of settings in Penryn. No proposal will be too small to be considered and the maximum amount of funding needed is up to £1000 per project or event. You must to be prepared to potentially compromise on your idea, with discussion, if we gain less funding for the overall festival. Please note that proposals seeking a smaller amount of funding stand a greater chance of being accepted than those requiring a larger amount. Also events not requiring any funding, for example Open Studios, are more than welcome to apply, and if successful and will receive support and promotion from the festival. ________________________________________ The committee is seeking projects that can fulfil one or more of the following aims: 1.
