Pentad 2300_2855: This is a small dam of about 5ha, but according to police divers, 46m deep. The dam is not known to many people and I decided to go and have a look. I realized that it is also in a virgin pentad and quickly founded out why. A stopped a few times considering, low range, diff-locks and in 1st gear I kept on crawling up the Blouberg mountain. Later on the the road was just a wide footpath and again had to decide. The Landy took the scratches quite well and after an hours drive I reached the dam. Offloaded the canoe and started exploring this gem. Walking around is out of the question, the terrain is just to difficult. I managed only 28 species, but will definitely return, more organized.
