People.. Moving away from Newport to a college an hour, or an hour and a half away does not give you some refined cultural experience to where you can talk so poorly about the town youre from and act like anyone and everyone in it is scum. For starters, your family is still in Newport.. You probably come back to Newport for most breaks and weekends.. And there is a very real chance you end up back in Newport anyways. Newport isnt amazing, but it is still a great small town with great people in it. Just because you live 30 minutes away now doesnt mean you can bash it freely and act like youre ten times better than anyone in it. Douches.
