People are insane if they think the US government will give them permission to default on their student loans without consequence. While I sympathize with folks with student debt - as one of them - it seems a little absurd to me that the general public wants to deny all culpability in the state of affairs. Consumer wants and wishes have as much to do with the rising costs of higher education as anything else, and while YOU may not have personally wanted the bells and whistles of education, that is definitely not true at the macro level. Is that fair? No. But take a number, sweetcheeks, because life aint fair. For better or worse (I still think predominately for the better) this is where access leads you. This situation was born in the fifties, and youre a part of it.
