SELLING OF FINDS ON THE FORUM AND OUR FACEBOOK GROUP! For quite some time now weve noticed that some members have been using UKDN (and no doubt other sites like UKDFD) as little more than places to go to get identifications for their coins and artifacts so they can then go on to sell them on eBay or other online auction sites! Whilst it is the currently the right of any individual to sell their finds, provided they have the landowners agreement and theyre not treasure finds that need to go through that process, UKDN has an issue in being part of any selling of finds what-so-ever. UKDN does not, and will not, be party to any such actions, so beware that we will now reserve the right to not identify any find for any individual member. If we see that the work of our Team is replicated in any on-line auction transaction then you have been warned, in that we reserve the right to not identify any of your finds again. Our team help identify artifacts and coins purely for our members who we believe are, in the main, hobbyist. If you want to sell your finds then you can buy books or go to the auction houses or dealers who are in a myriad of places to be found online and elsewhere. UKDN does not, and will not, be seen to be party to the buying and selling of any portable antiquities, hence this notice. If you do have any queries about this policy then please do contact a member of staff and well be happy to answer via the pm system. This policy will be included in the Acceptable User Policy (AUP) which we advise all our members to keep abreast of as it does change from time to time. AUP can be seen Here Many thanks for your cooperation in this matter. The UKDN Team.
