People have asked me about the making of Hand hammered Singing bowls. I found this video of them being made in a factory in Nepal. Little has changed in 1500 years. In my quest for singing bowls that are not only powerful and healing, but also works of art in themselves, I have finally tapped into the source and am now importing bowls directly from a factory in Nepal. These bowls are exquisitely carved and each was carefully selected for having rich and full sound. The language barrier has been very challenging but with patience and many many hours of emails and Skype... my first shipment of 11 bowls has now left Kathmandu, Nepal for its journey to San Diego. I am really excited to get them and try them out and they will be listed for sale shortly after they arrive. I have really missed giving concerts this summer and am looking forward to the Fall Equinox Concert on Sept 21st at Total Woman. For those interested in buying bowls, in about a month when I am able to build a substantial bowl inventory, I will start holding Demo mini concert sales where I will have 20 to 30 bowls for sale and will invite interested people to a friends studio Hillcrest where i will play them in a short free mini demo concert and then people can come try them out.
