People have been asking what effective actions are proposed. Here is my brief outline of what has already happening, is happening, and what CA is planning. Actions taken and being organised: 1. Many individuals have written to people including the Archbishops of York and Canterbury, Richard Inwood, Hospital Trusts, etc. 2. A letter to each Archbishop has been sent, organised by Annie Bennett on the CA FB group. 3. A demo in Southwell on 7th October when Sentamu visits organised by LGCM 4. Lord Fowler, former Conservative party chairman, raised Jeremy’s case in the House of Lords CA proposed actions 1. A document to send to the College of Bishops and elected senior women prior to the September meeting arguing that they should revise or abandon the Pastoral Guidelines. 2. A prayer vigil outside the hotel where the College of Bishops meeting is being held with banners articulating our expectations. 3. A prayer focus on positive energy and love enfolding the bishops. 4. Depending on the outcome of the September CoB meeting, we plan to organise a public event with a spectacular focus in a significant location that will attract maximum support, media attention and impact on the bishops.
