People in this forum should be held to a standard proof when quoting someone or presenting something as fact. Demonstrably false posts waste our time (the need to rebut) and mislead others who might take them at face value. Carla Mystic has twice posted false quotes attributed to Albert Einstein in an attempt to support one form of pseudoscience or another. Both times, a simple Google search was all it took to disprove them. Obvious joking aside, if you are going to pass something off as fact, you should make sure it is a fact. If you cannot, you should say as much so as not to mislead people. Pseudoscience and superstition cause great social harm and should not be tolerated in this type of forum.
