People keep asking if Jivewired TV will show storyboard music videos, the kinds that initially launched MTV. The answer is yes. And no. Music Video Television died because it couldnt maintain fan engagement. Just as many of you constantly switch through a bank of radio stations while driving your cars (a habit I detest, in case you ever drive me somewhere, btw), if a video came on that you didnt like, youd flip away from MTV and on to something else. Advertisers do not like that type of behavior. And advertisements are what keeps our favorite television stations on the air. So what we will be doing is a little nostalgic and a little different. 1. We will place any number of music videos in our App so that viewers can watch music videos on demand. They will be embedded with lead and trailing advertisements so as to draw revenues for the bands and for Jivewired. 2. We will be creating a show (tentatively called The Hotspot) which will feature 30 minutes of the best new music videos created by Jivewired bands. We intend to push this show to the local affiliates of ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC in all 210 markets. Archived episodes will reside in the Jivewired TV app for time-shifted and binge watching. Depending on the success of The Hot Spot, we would like to get into more niche-specific video shows based on genre, particularly some heavy metal, rap and hip hop, and lots of EDM for late night programming. 3. Because Internet Delivery Television is designed to feature content in digestible portions, we will place relevant music videos in between scheduled programming, both as a buffer and segue between related content and as a true 3-5 minute advertisement for our featured bands and their music. We cannot force feed Music Television into a market that initially pushed it away. That being said, we feel there is enough demand for storyboard music videos that we can air them frequently enough to aid in new music discovery for fans, and exposure and real revenue streams for our Jivewired bands.
