People keep asking me about the book/screenplay I want to write and my story. Here it is again. Looking for backers. go to EduardoFasnacht.blogspot for other details. TRUE STORY - My relationship and history with the Central Intelligence Agency. Eduardo Fasnacht I WAS RECRUITED IN VERY EARLY 2007 BY AN AIR FORCE LT. COL. FROM CIA... THE OBJECTIVE - TO FIGHT AGAINST THE COMMUNIST ADVANCE OF FIDEL CASTRO AND HUGO CHAVEZ IN VENEZUELA. Around early 2007 I had the pleasure of meeting a US Air Force Lt. Col. in Scottsdale, Arizona through a mutual acquaintance from Las Vegas. After several meetings and a few glasses of Merlot the colonel sold me on the idea of working with him and after he had introduced me to some of his friends from the intelligence community at a local meeting of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO) I was sent off to Miami. I was to write a book which I was going to title Winter Wonderland and the book project became a cover for my work in Miami as I pursued a campaign against a Fidel Castro leaning socialist government in Venezuela led by Hugo Chavez. A government which had just shut down Radio Caracas Television and was clearly showing its intentions of becoming a communist regime in the style of Fidel Castro… totalitarian, expansionist, repressive and brutal. My motivation was not only about Venezuela… it was about an entire region becoming infected with a Fidel Castro led communist take-over. The colonel basically had me working through him for the CIA while never identifying me per se as an official employee of CIA and never directly implicating CIA. He was what you might call my handler and told me that was how they operated…. nothing is ever done or discussed directly. But once I got the lingo it was clearly understood that he was representing CIA and the objective was to write a book as a cover while I pursued in Miami the fight against Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Our encounter had to be God’s will because the circumstances of our meeting where so unusual and so by pure chance. The colonel and I met and we hit it off grand. He’s a Vietnam War hero as far as I’m concerned and among the many awards and medals he earned, the Silver Star medal got my attention… the third highest medal awarded by the United States Armed Forces for gallantry in action against an enemy of the United States. Another medal that got my attention when I was in his home in Scottsdale was a very official looking golden CIA medal of some kind. It may have been for lifetime achievement but not sure if I remember correctly. The colonel was obviously a star in the Intel community. He’s a good man and I respect him to this day very much. I have nothing but fond memories. The colonel flew to Miami and met with one of my Venezuelan contacts. This particular contact was president of an important professional association in Venezuela who’s well connected, living in exile as a political refuge and was one of the leaders of the attempted coup against Hugo Chavez in April, 2002. After that meeting with the colonel, my Venezuelan contact understood that I was CIA by association with the colonel. I was in effect a CIA representative/operative while completely off the books from CIA employment. In fact to this day I have never been to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia but I’m sure they know who I am at headquarters. The colonel, who made it understood in the usual indirect way to my contact that he was CIA, placed a huge imaginary sign over my head that read “CIA”. My Venezuelan contact picked up on that and spread the word to other Venezuelan leaders living in Miami that I was CIA and that he had met the colonel. I became the seed of hope planted by CIA in the hearts of the Venezuelan exiled community in Miami that shouted they were not alone and that they had US support. I had in effect and unofficially become the face of CIA to these people. That was the burden placed on me by the colonel and the people he represented – the CIA. With the exception of a thousand dollars deposited in my Bank of America account by the colonel at the very beginning of our relationship I was never paid a single cent although it was clearly communicated to me in the usual double talk style of the intelligence world that I could expect a reward or payment at some point. And not just the colonel, but another contact of mine who’s been a good friend and is an important executive in one of the largest defense companies in the world based in the US communicated the same message as well in very subtle language but clear. The truth of the matter however is that I was left by the colonel to fend for myself in the middle of Miami with no money, no job and with a resume that made it hard to get a job because even though I do have a BBA in marketing from the University of Miami - I speak fluently English, Spanish, German and the Swiss German dialect - was educated in Switzerland – and scored an IQ of 139 on my last test in 2007… my basic history since 1987 was that of a fine arts artist coupled with marketing communications and analysis consulting work. My background for most employers was simply a bit too eclectic and did not show the kind of stability employers like to see. I’m an expressionist (large oils on canvas), a writer, a poet, an actor, director, and I write film screenplays as well. I studied at a world renowned acting school in NYC and LA – The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. I pretty much led a bohemian life style for many years in New York City and Los Angeles and it was not the kind of background employers where attracted to. It was difficult for me to find work at age 50 in a job market with an economy that was going slowly but surely bust and in 2008 finally collapsed opening the way for a Barak Obama victory. I was limited to odd jobs here and there which paid very little. So… I ended up pursuing my battle against communism in Venezuela while living for several years in my 1994 broken down Mercury, Sable with 225,000 miles. I was with no air conditioning in the middle of 100 degree summer days and nights - at times my car would break down and I would be stuck for up to 10 days in a parking lot with a stalled car while scraping up money where ever and how ever I could to fix it - and secretly took baths in Burger King, Dunkin Donut and McDonald bathroom sinks… while making sure management would not notice. All this while CIA was absolutely aware of my situation and knew I was doing good work. I communicated with them repeatedly through the different channels and they did nothing. They obviously do not believe in the military rule that says no man left behind or in protecting the backs of their own. Someday I will talk further about my experiences living on the streets of Miami and how God guided me and worked on me. I will also talk about some of the people I met on the streets who taught me so much about priorities in Life. God was the one thing that kept me going and alive. My relationship with God through Jesus was my life line. God broke me and then remolded me. I’m a different man today because of God and frankly most of my work regarding the battle against Hugo Chavez was guided by God. God gave me direction, visions and ideas. In many ways God even used me as His prophet which I will explain further some other time. Those of you who are not of the Christian faith will think I’m crazy when I say that, but those of you who know me understand what I’m talking about. You have seen me in action and my record of prophetic predictions is pretty much 100%. I can see things in the Spirit. It’s that simple. In fact God is not as complicated as some would have you think. God is easy. I the mean time I had to keep my living conditions secret since I did not want my Venezuelan contacts to think I was crazy and without CIA support. CIA support was what gave me credibility with them. It was a night mare and CIA did nothing to assist except lots of “you can do it” pep talk through the colonel and another contact of mine from a large defense company. However, while I was struggling and on survival mode CIA kept using me and my contacts. I noticed that every contact I made or developed somehow mysteriously positive things would happen to them that would help them get ahead with their careers or whatever their purpose might be. One of them was a well respected journalist in Venezuela who became a legendary journalist and recognized around the world for his hard to get and good information. As if being associated to me somehow became an advantage to my contacts. Perhaps I’m wrong about that and it was all pure coincidence and they were all just plain lucky and it had nothing to do with any association with me. But it sure is something to think about. The correlation was clear to me. I think I’ve been pretty successful with my objectives in Venezuela even though I just played a relatively small part, which was to promote and fertilize a united opposition to Hugo Chavez and a “yes we can” attitude…. something most Venezuelan political culture experts thought would be impossible to do. The other objective was to remove the Cuban presence in Venezuela. As you might already know Hugo Chavez practically turned sovereignty of Venezuela over to the Cubans without a single shot fired and now the Castro government in effect, through their puppet the Nicolas Maduro regime, controls the world’s largest oil reserves and natural minerals. Including uranium… a critical component for a nuclear bomb and Iran is a close ally of the Castro-Maduro regime. Hugo Chavez, his band of criminals and narco-generals committed high treason and the Cubans now have a foot hold on the Latin American mainland with clear intentions - control of the entire Latin American hemisphere. What has served me well is that I am pretty good in the field of marketing communications and I’m an international affairs buff. I also read many books on the subject of CIA, Mossad and other intelligence agencies and how they operate. Learned a lot through books and websites like Stratfor. I’m also pretty good at making friends and influencing people when I want to, which is essential with this kind of work. Some of you might be asking your selves why did I continue if CIA was not paying me and the answer to that question is relatively simple. I started this and I was going to finish it. I also felt, and still do, a sense of duty and responsibility. As I mentioned before, I became the unofficial face of CIA to these business, press, military and political leaders and I believe for that reason my presence gave them a sense of hope if anything and a reassuring psychological effect which kept them motivated and united. It was important to me they remained motivated because the battle was up hill all the way and throwing in the towel was the easy way out. Another factor motivating me was that I also felt like I was a player and that I was part of a team shaping world events and history… a certain adrenaline rush flowed through my veins about that as well. Needless to say if you study my background I’m an adventurer at heart. Add to that the God element. God clearly put in my heart that I was the spiritual David of this battle and this Goliath had to come down. Goliath came down. Hugo Chavez is dead. Hugo Chavez after publicly and emphatically cursing the State of Israel died. The bible reveals clearly… he who blesses Israel God blesses and he who curses Israel God will curse. I’ve been working this fight for freedom and justice in Venezuela-Cuba for 8 years and now we find ourselves at this juncture of the process with Venezuela up in flames. The US Congress as well as the Obama administration are sadly and to my embarrassment doing nothing about it. With the exception of Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Marco Rubio, Bob Menedez and John McCain, and perhaps a few others I don’t recall right now, nobody seems to care in Washington if innocent people, who are fighting for the same values we fought for during our war of independence against the British, are being slaughtered like animals by government sponsored street thugs in the way they do things in Cuba - brutal repression. The colonel in response to my complaints back around 2009-2010 suggested I read a book by Ishmael Jones, a former CIA operative who wrote about the gross inefficiencies in the CIA and how in his opinion CIA clandestine operations should be shifted to the Department of Defense. Ishmael Jones among other things said in his book titled The Human Factor that the Defense Department is much better qualified to manage clandestine operations and that CIA and its management had become too large a bureaucracy that takes forever to approve anything and that seems to be more concerned with protecting their personal power turfs and pension plans than they are about protecting this nation’s national security. After my experience with CIA I agree whole heartedly with Ishmael Jones. I identify completely with what he wrote in his book and I urge the Venezuelan people not to count with CIA doing much. I for one don’t trust them any longer and I believe they have lost credibility and capability. Trust instead the US military establishment and trust the Israelis. They are much better organized and motivated to do the job right. Especially the US military… they have anti-communism flowing in their veins. However, the US military depends on orders from the Commander in Chief and President Obama in my opinion has sold out to the international left including the Castro wing of the international left which is brutal, repressive, totalitarian, immoral and criminal. I must sadly admit I supported Barak Obama twice. The first time I don’t regret because I believe we did need a shift to the Left after so many years of to the Right tilting, product of 8 years of a radical Bush/Cheney to the Right government… but my support for a second term Barak Obama was a big mistake. I must admit that it’s now time for a republican to sit in the Oval office come January 2017 should the right man or woman run. Otherwise Latin America will be painted Red by the Castro-Cuban advance. My bottom line. Venezuela - do not count on CIA or President Obama for much support. Count with the US military establishment if they are ever given the orders by the President and count on the Israelis. But truthfully speaking you are a great Nation… you are a great people, with great courage and an amazing fighting spirit. You can do it and you will win. I see it clearly Venezuela… you will regain your sovereignty, your freedom, your God given Human Rights and your liberty. Venezuela will be an example and the world will see the product of tremendous courage in the face of great evil. Venezuela will have a renaissance the likes of which the world has not seen in a very long time and even though I am not a Venezuelan national nor have I ever visited Venezuela, deep inside not only have I learned to love Venezuela… I am Venezuelan!
