People sometimes ask me why i dont move closer to the city where i work. My answer you cant find a close knit community to call home in the city. To prove my point here are some examples. About a month ago my eighth kid, Alex Wills graduated from high school. He has been a hunting buddy, big brother to our kids, pain in the butt at times. Funny thing is his mom and aunts used to babysit me. My mom babysat them when they were little and even further back his grandparents and mine were friends over 50 years ago. Thats just one instance. Everyone in town knows us and or kids. You ever need anything somebody is always there to help. Some of my teachers taught my kids. Some of my schoolmates taught my kids. I live2 blocks from the house my mom grew up in. My wife had surgery yesterday and there was an overwhelming outpouring of people willing to help in any way. Some people dont like small towns because everyone knows your business. I love small towns because everyone is so kind and considerate. Dont get me wrong everyone is still human but i choose to see all the wonderful positives about the place called home. Thank you to everyone who has helped us or offered a loving gesture of any kind. You never know who you might touch that just might be an influence on you kids or grandkids in the future!
