People that support GMO have NO IDEA how the ecosystem works ... have you ever heard of mono-culture and the impact that has on a ecosystem of any size ? Terrible ! and why are we trying to engineer crops that can withstand more pesticide when we are anyway running out of oil ?, it takes 4 calories of energy to produce 1 calorie of food in the system we use now ... so its fast money with no long term benefits at all ... And yes laboratory rats show abnormal cell growth (tumors), slower growth rate and lower fertility rates in second and third generations and so on. And theses companies tell us this is save ? These GMO crops are so well engineer that theyre genes are gone take over the gene linage that mother nature has taken hundreds of thousand of years to perfect so if we would let those company get there ways they would up owning most of the worlds crop through intelligent ownership of a gene ... they would own all the food and all of it would give us cancer ... fantastic !!! Monsanto is probably one of the most evil companies in the world !!!
