People who know about studio equipment & computers i need some quick advice. So as i said i THINK the new FireWire PCIe i got today is faulty as it is not working but i may be wrong. This is the case below & everything i have tried. Let me know if i am mission anything. It is the Sonnet Allegro FW800 PCIe Using it with my rampage extreme V motherboard by ASUS When it is plugged into the PCIe port the computer will NOT boot. The motherboard wont even make the BEEP noise & try to boot it just powers up but stays all black. I called ASUS they say it should work fine with the motherboard. I used all the other open slots & they do the same thing. I tried attaching power cable to it even though it is not needed & that did nothing. As soon as it is taken out the computer will boot normally. i looked in the bios but cant find anything that would effect it & ASUS said they could not think of anything that would either. They said the card must be faulty but i want to make sure there is not something Im forgetting to try.
