People will only defend what they love. And we all know by now that we must defend what we love or it will be removed, displaced, disturbed, or destroyed. And do you know what we love: our neighbors our river our community our parks our mountains our river the fish and wildlife our ability to talk and move freely our ability to stand up for ourselves and out liberties our ability to know a place and know that out children will be able to love what we love. Today, besides laughing and concentrating on what we love, we talked about legal frameworks, global capital, commercialization, memory, trade agreements, bakken shale, ALEC, EPA, meth, urbanization and the reality that living well depends on our selves and the ability to develop deeper community trust and ties in out local neighborhoods. We also realize that we are not alone in our heartfelt understanding, but that we need to make a greater effort to organize and aid one another BEFORE some flick of a greedy pen takes away what we love.
