Peoples Book House, Cawasji Patel Street, Fort, Mumbai. My love and adoration for this place has no bounds. Though there are book shops in Mumbai which I regularly visit in a week or fortnight, I do not feel to have lived well if I do not go to PBH. The cherished friendship with affable musketeers of PBH is also a one strong point to be there. It is the only surviving last remnant of progressive and all inclusive social-cultural life in a form of book shop that Mumbai once upon a time boasted for. The first bunch of books that I had purchased, I remember well, had a copy of Ivan Turgenevs Fathers and Sons. I move in a space of PBH so swiftly, even sometime do works there like I do in my own house and how hours easily passed even a watch does not come to know. Thanks PBH for your incessant force and affectionate warmth ! I wish you to be always there for present and future generations of readers, literature lovers and activists !!
