Per chulito- It is the beginning of a new year here in America. And while most people have set out goals to accomplish like, losing weight, buying a new house, looking for a new boyfriend or girlfriend, finding a new career or job, or getting rich or die trying like so many nowadays. I ask my friends, acquaintances, family and those who claim to be Christians to seek God this new year. But dont seek him to to fill your life with immaterial things that hold no value or perishable things that are temporal. But rather seek him for something that is invaluable, something that is incorruptible, something that no common earthly man or woman can either give you nor take away from you. Eternal salvation. Salvation from what you may ask??? Salvation from what awaits us at the end of a life lived without the favor of God. And to those who claim to have attained what cannot be earned, I ask that you examine yourselves. To see if you live a life based on a good works, self-righteous, intellectual, man made religion that bears no fruit of change that one has allowed God to do from the inside out . Rather than one that reminds us to walk by faith, not by sight, that reminds us that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. A saving faith that bears real fruit that shows us that Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Not comparing ourselves to the lives of our friends, our family, our favorite tv personality or even your priest, teacher or pastor, but by Jesus Christ himself who has left his testimony for us, found Only in his Word, the Holy Bible.Mary Rodriguez,Yomaira Cruz,Marcus Scolly Reyes
