Per the San Joaquin Sheriff Office a deputy on 08/17/2013 was checking on a report of a suspicious circumstances (missing person). A deputy checked a location on Lower Jones Road. With the assistance of a person of knowledge of the area the deputy was taken to a location in the middle of a corn field. While searching the deputy found a 53 year old white male in an irrigation canal. The suspect had been shot two to 3 times. The victim is reported to have been in the field for 3 to 4 days. AMR Medics were called to the location. Upon AMR arrival the Sheriff Office along with AMR pulled the victim from the canal. The canal had approximately 2 to 3 feet of water. Due to location and circumstances air ambulance Reach 2 was called for transport. Patient was transported to San Joaquin General Hospital. youtu.be/RhFCgKWu5fI
