Perfect timing for me to run across this pic, as I find myself wishing I had answers to questions from alarmed and concerned friends. For everyone who is existentially alarmed, concerned, feeling like your back is to the wall, afraid of your government, knowing history and watching it repeat itself... (why me, of all people, I ask, and yet here I am, saying this) -- This nation was founded upon Gods principles, taking into account His creation of man in His image and likeness, and (inasmuch as was possible) with knowledge of and obedience to His word. If youre wondering what the greatest nation in history means, or what American greatness is based on, this is it. Our founders were careful to elucidate Christian principles where applicable, Judeo-Christian history where it was useful to explain their actions and decisions, and even simple existential truths about what we are and why we exist. Self-evident truths. It takes a peculiar spiteful blindness to dispute or ignore that man has a right to be alive and that its a violation of his rights when he is murdered. It is dangerously presumptuous and egotistical for a man to claim that personal property rights are nonexistent and that everything belongs to a collective. The Commandment says thou shalt not STEAL, and it has no meaning if nobody owns anything. Which view rings that bell in your chest, which view resonates in you as truth; Marx, or Almighty God? That is Old Testament stuff, but... the Commandments were written and given to CLARIFY Gods law, not to establish it. Human beings already KNEW they werent supposed to murder each other or steal from each other. It was engraved first in the soul, THEN in the stone. Leftists are uninformed or lying when they say this is not a Christian nation founded on Judeo Christian history. Josh Charles will explain to you, if you have a few weeks, the myriad proofs of this in the writings of the founders themselves. And given that they did what they did with God in mind and heart, you may rest assured that God is not unaware of or disinterested in what is happening here. For those among my friends and acquaintances who are feeling the stress of this obvious onset of tyranny of some sort, and want to have some assurance that something will be done about it and evil will not triumph..... remember Who we are talking about. And remember to talk TO Him. Its entirely possible that getting Americans talking to Him again is the PRIMARY purpose of this time of fear. Not that He is an emotional terrorist arbitrarily inflicting fear on us, but that we have drifted from Him enough that the consequences of being in a world in which God is not consulted are beginning to manifest themselves. People laugh at deathbed conversions, oh sure, NOW you want to give your life to God... but... the deathbed conversion is surely the most sincere kind. Knowing that this time it counts and you only get one more chance, that is a mind-clearing experience. So it is in other God things too. We get comfortable and forget Him. Forgetting Him can have the consequence of making us UNcomfortable. In our discomfort, we remember Him and cry out to Him. He is not the creator of our discomfort; that is only a natural consequence of our behavior. But if our discomfort leads more of us to call out to Him, well then, this is a good result, for us AND for Him. Perhaps thats one of the things that are happening now in our time. I hope and believe so. :-)
