Perhaps my standards are too high, I get frustrated when my students dont meet the mental timelines I have in my head, and worry about the quality of the process, but, sitting in the booth tonight and seeing my students hit it out of the park with the support of my right and lefthand man, Kymry Esainko and three instrumental students, Peter Holmes, Jess Kallen, and Jack Hood makes it all worth the self imposed stress Ive put upon myself the last few days. The journey from last Friday to tonight was worth every moment of doubt, worry and possible ulcers that I put myself through. I couldnt be prouder of the way my students put what theyve learned over the years on the stage tonight. I will dearly miss the talent that is graduating, but am inspired by those students who will be there next year. One Pops concert down, one more tomorrow, where the seniors will give their last performance on the stage of the PAC. I am blessed.
