Perhaps people are being judgmental of Kiran Bedi because she chose to join BJP. Seems a hypocrite move from her if she is the one who was professing a corruption free state. Trolls are being posted everywhere on the internet talking about her U-turn. But, I would still like to acknowledge her move. Not for the party she represents, but for the social being she is and the potential she commands as a leader. Everyone knows about her. The first woman IPS officer, Director General, awarded the Ramon Magsaysay award, host of Aap ki Kachehri, a social activist and one of the most influential faces of modern India. I would like, even if she has not turned up an epitome of morals, to see her get elected as a leader and deal with the menaces of the society as she has always done in her previous career. The lady who towed Indira Gandhis car for a parking violation, would sure as hell do much more than that to ensure the safety and prosperity of the masses. Especially when it comes to women safety, I am more than optimistic that she would do better than just regressive talks which ask women not to go out at nights. What are the prospects of her BJP candidature, remains to be seen, but I (personally) cannot discard her step towards politics. P.S - Even Shaza Ilimi of the unblemished Aam Aadmi Party took the U-turn. #Hypocrisy ?
