Free for all comments/suggestions/corrections/recommendations, etc..as this is our site... BEFORE MAKING YOUR FINAL DECISION TO START A SOLAR POWER SYSTEM: @ Be sure you have a basic knowledge about the system......( sick an advice ) @ Planned a lot of times which type of system you want...... ( Off-Grid or Grid-Tied ) @ Think if that is enough for you or you may add more in the long run..... ( Fixed or Upgradable ) FOR SOLAR PANEL : MONOCRYSTALLINE TYPE - More expensive, more vulnerable, but more efficient in producing energy from the sun specially in hot weather condition areas. POLYCRYSTALLINE TYPE – More cheaper, yet vulnerable, but less efficient in producing energy from the sun specially in hot weather condition areas. Note : They are all good and last many years as long as how you manage them, 20 to 30 years and more... Recommendation : In installing the panels on the roof ; be sure to have enough space in between the roof and panels so there is enough air passing by in between them to cool down the panels as it generates energy, its temperature rises/increases. Protection glass of the panels is to be considered too, specially nowadays...heat from the sun is getting higher...They are both nice, vulnerable, breakable and last long as expected, so find the best one that has a longer year warranty claims and certified, for your assurance, not wasting your budget and time... FOR INVERTER & CONTROLLER : BE sure you have enough knowledge about how it works ; by asking/seeking advices and reading through internet. don’t be hurry in deciding to have one. Planning the right size and capacity for your needs, it maybe enough today but in the long run, changes and satisfaction arrises, so be ready to face it out. Note : The production of energy and finding the right power of your system depends on this units...so be aware of that... Recommendation : Choose the right one that fits for your needs, not only today but in the long run. as it will last for years if we keep them in good condition, choose what is more reliable, more safe and more easy to operate, more modern and more quality in terms of usage and functions. more presentable and more accessible/friendly to operators.. FOR SOLAR BATTERIES : ( Battery bank ) Be sure you are familiar with ; the kind and types of batteries you are going to use intended for the system. Again, by asking/seeking advices and references through internet. Don’t be hurry to buy if you dont know how it works, its made and how connect each one of them. Note : The lifespan of your battery depend on your knowledge on how you use it, how you connect, and how you take care for it. Safety First !!! Batteries are very DANGEROUS if just taking for granted and neglicted, it may EXPLODE! or you may be electricuted and be poisoned. Recommendations : Before installing your battery bank, considered the safety to each and everyone. Keep it tidy and accessible, net and clean, ventilation ( for some types that needs too be ). Baterries releases fumes (some types) while charging. So be aware of it...If you wish to cut-off your electric bill then, you must have enough batteries for storing energy for your daily use. Calculate and be familiar with...don’t fully empty your batteries if you want to let it last longer, batteries should only be drained/use for about 40 to 50% of its capacity as recommended...take note on it... almost all manufacturers only have 1 year warranty for batteries, ’coz they are desposables.. SUGGESTIONS: Mga ka-solaristas : be familiar and wise in chosing the right system...SOLAR POWER is helpful to us, yet extra care needed... I hope it helps to our members...these are only my knowledge regarding the system, I may be right or wrong, so I’m free to here your comments out of what I share of.....Gaining and sharing of knowledge and ideas our purpose in the group...
