Permit me to say that Apples new OS, Yosemite, is perhaps the most misbegotten piece of designer-y overreach since the International Style. By removing all the illusionistic frippery such as engraved icons, buttons that had drop shadow and so forth, they have created an interface so lacking in visual contrast as to be actively annoying to use. Hey, Apple, if youre so against skeuomorphism, go back to the command line.
