Permit me to vent. As my brother and I were heading home from Ariel Roses house, we hit Mission College Blvd on Great America Pkwy. What would normally be an intersection only 2 minutes away from our house turned out to be an almost hour long series of traffic jams and detours. The pre- and post-game system set in place is, I believe, in serious need of reform. Residents cant friggin GO HOME. At one stop, they only let buses through. It should have been a checkpoint to check the addresses on peoples drivers licenses to verify that they live in the area (mobile home parks) on the street theyre denying access to, and are just trying to return home. That would have reduced traffic congestion, I think. Im no management expert, but tonight was a flatout failure on the part of the neighboring city of Santa Clara (I technically live in Sunnyvale... the stadium sits on the other side of the border between the two cities). Im not hating on sports or sports fans, but Im entitled to the hatred I feel towards what this stadium has inflicted on Sunnyvale residents.
