Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th.~Julie Andrews Looking through my shots from my walk yesterday I did manage to come across this one which seemed to have all the right elements and settings. This (Mockingbird/Eastern Phoebe?) was patient enough to sit while I changed my settings. I had gone from a forest canopy into moderate light. I was thinking as I was fumbling the dials theres no way this guy will be there when Im ready. He was, I did, and this is the result. I have to thank this group for its words of encouragement. I dont get discouraged with photography. I get frustrated. How could I be discouraged when for the second time yesterday Hawkeye swooped down to eye level with me heading directly towards me then lifting up a few feet away and feeling the wind from his wings. This is the second time hes done this to me. I had goosebumps all over! I didnt even have my camera ready because I had been holding it up so long I was resting. Was I upset I missed the shot? Not in the least...Hawkeye was my gift yesterday. The rest will take time.
