Person Shot, Two Assaulted in Pontiacseed48220healing (Oakland County Sheriff’s Dept, Jan. 10, 2015) INCIDENT: 0015 Hours- City of Pontiac-Shooting/ Assault w/ Gun/Pistol Whipping/Attempt Murder # 15-0004486 SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of W. Huron for the report of a shooting. Deputies arrived and discovered a shooting victim and two assault victims. Star EMS and Waterford Regional Fire Department rendered treatment to the victims. Deputies located, identified and interviewed witnesses. Witnesses stated that the suspect entered the home wearing a mask. The suspect first went upstairs to the intended victim’s room and assaulted the victim’s girlfriend. Suspect then began assaulting the intended victim by pistol seedCOURAGEexpApril2015whipping him, claiming that the victim owed him money. The suspect was armed with a handgun and a bottle of lighter fluid; he began squirting the lighter fluid on the intended victim’s girlfriend and the bed they were lying on. The suspect forced both victims downstairs at gunpoint and continued to squirt the female with lighter fluid stating that he was going to burn her. The victims complied and all three arrived on the first floor when the suspect began hitting the original intended male victim with the handgun. Another resident of the house came to the aid of the victim being beaten and a struggle for control of the handgun ensued. The suspect fired two shots, one of the rounds struck the assisting victim in the neck. Several other residents witnessed this assault and the suspect run from the house. The victims knew the suspect and provided his name to Deputies.seed029_keyser_family VICTIM(S): - 34 year old male Pontiac resident (Shooting victim) He is in critical condition at this time. -21 year old male Pontiac resident (pistol whipped with handgun was treated and released) -20 year old female Pontiac resident (assaulted and covered with lighter fluid was treated and released) SUSPECT(S): -23 year old male Detroit resident. sidebar01reader_supportOUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The victims were transported to St. Joseph’s Mercy Oakland E.R. for treatment via Star EMS. The shooting victim was listed in critical condition; both assault victims wounds were non-life-threatening. Detectives and the Forensic Lab were called in to continue the investigation. UPDATE: Detectives from the OCSO Fugitive Apprehension Team located the suspect in the City of Roseville at approximately 2:00 PM today. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Oakland County Jail. A handgun and mask were recovered from the location. The investigation continues.
