Personal revelation occurs at the boundary between knowledge and knowing, between facts and truth. Prayer allows you to cross that boundary. That boundary was crossed by Saul on the road to Damascus when everything he thought he knew somehow congealed into the truth of the Gospel. That boundary is routinely crossed by all of us when we suddenly put two and two together and make the connection, just like Saul who was renamed Paul, like Jacob who was renamed Israel, like Abram and Sarai who were renamed Abraham and Sarah. When we seek the Lord, when we seek answers to our problems rather than just getting agitated and angry all by ourselves, He seeks us back and gives miraculous answers. Ask, Seek, Knock (A.S.K.) in prayer and we experience the Giver, the Finding and that wonderful Opening between ourselves and the Almighty Lover of us all, who, in answer to our prayer gives us also a new adopted name and welcomes us into His Kingdom.
