Perspective. A point of view. Its fascinating how a point of view can be dwarfed and lost so rapidly by something yet so unexpected. War, Global Warming, Terrorism, Religious conflict, all fall away in to oblivion when the prospect of something more terrifying comes in to view. Ive been receiving (as the geek I am) automated WHO updates via IFTTT since March, they started as a trickle, once a couple of weeks, to once a week and now come on a daily basis. They describe the updated number of people who have newly been infected, or expired from the worlds most deadliest disease, Ebola. Today, Liberia closed its boarders in an attempt to stem the spread of what is happening, where at present 6 out of 10 people die after coming in to contact. Front page news, maybe not. Lets hope it doesnt come to that and in the mean time Ill take some time to reflect on what really matters in life. Love, respect, family.
